One of the biggest popstars goes above and beyond for trying to apologize for an accident that happened at a Clipper’s game.
Rihanna was sitting courtside next to L.A.P.D. Commission President, Steve Soboroff, at the game on Friday night at the Los Angeles Clippers Game 3 playoff game against the Oklahoma. The two decided to take a selfie together and that’s when an unfortunate event happened… Riri dropped Soboroff’s phone and CRACKED THE SCREEN!!!
The reasonable thing to do would be to get him a new phone, right? Well, she did way more than that!
She tweeted to Steve:
Sorry I broke your phone @SteveSoboroff :) @takepartlive 10PM ET on @pivot_tv @LAPoliceFdtn #specialannouncement #tonight—Soboroff announced Rihanna’s $25,000 donation to the Los Angeles Police Foundation at a police commission meeting Tuesday. And according to the Los Angeles Times, saying the singer promised the donation to help fund police cadets from the underprivileged and the families of fallen officers.

BUT THERE IS MORE! Rihanna and Soboroff saw each other again at Game 4 and asked her if she would signed the cracked phone so they can auction it off for the charity that raises money for same LAPD cadet program. She did it and signed the phone itself saying, “Sorry! I <3 LAPD. Rihanna”
The phone is currently selling for over $1,000 on eBay!
Thanks @rihanna for supporting @LAPDHQ. http://t.co/DhG3FagDSo—
